SUMMARY:In Unity – ChallengeEU Student Poster Competition
DESCRIPTION:The ChallengeEU Alliance is more than a partnership between universities. It is an opportunity to grow\, develop and drive positive change together. Our guiding idea of bringing together diverse strengths is expressed in the motto “In Unity” – the central theme of the first ChallengeEU Student Poster Competition.\n\n\n\nWe invite students from ChallengeEU Alliance universities to present their artistic vision of what “In Unity” means to them. The competition encourages participants to explore\, through the language of art\, the ideas that lie at the heart of the ChallengeEU academic community: unity in diversity\, cooperation across borders\, and the shared values that connect people\, institutions\, cultures and regions across Europe. \n\n\n\nSubmitted posters should offer a creative reflection on what it means to build bridges between different perspectives\, backgrounds and experiences – and on how academic communities can work together to shape a more open\, inclusive and collaborative future. \n\n\n\nAll entries will be reviewed by an international jury. Selected works will be presented in a dedicated exhibition and published on the official ChallengeEU Alliance website\, giving participants the opportunity to share their artistic vision with the wider European academic community. \n\n\n\nMain rules\n\n\n\n\nThe competition is open to students enrolled at universities forming the ChallengeEU Alliance.\n\n\n\nEntries should be submitted in preview format\, as a PDF\, PNG or JPG file\, in A3 size\, at a resolution of 300 DPI. The submitted file must not exceed 10 MB.\n\n\n\nIf an entry is selected as one of the winning works\, its author undertakes\, at the organiser’s request\, to submit the work as a TIFF or PDF file in the size of 70 × 100 cm\, at a minimum resolution of 150 DPI.\n\n\n\n\nThe deadline for submitting entries is 20 September 2026. \n\n\n\n>>> In Unity – ChallengeEU Student Poster Competition: Submission form\n\n\n\nPlease note: The original design should be retained by the participant until the competition has been concluded. By entering the competition\, each participant declares that\, if their entry is selected as one of the winning works\, they will provide the organiser with a complete set of materials enabling further professional editing of the design\, its preparation for print\, and its digital publication. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe exhibition of works will be organised during Art & Science Day at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn\, held with the support of funding from NAWA\, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.

SUMMARY:The ChallengeEU BIP at University of Warmia and Mazury: Regional Promotion and Development. Recruitment is open
DESCRIPTION:The Blended Intensive Programme ChallengeEU: Regional Promotion and Development is based on the principles of regenerative design\, which views space\, resources\, and local ecosystems as interconnected elements of a single system. Participants will work on design challenges rooted in the local context\, analysing social\, environmental\, and spatial relationships while developing solutions that address current needs and strengthen resilience and quality of life in the long term. \n\n\n\nThe programme will be carried out in collaboration with representatives of the local socio-economic environment who\, as stakeholders in the educational process\, will contribute practical perspectives\, local knowledge\, and insights into the region’s real development needs. These partners include Kwaśne Jabłko Cidery\, Farm and Agritourism Centre in Włodowo\, together with cooperating local producers. \n\n\n\nThe programme will be complemented by a documentation and communication component. Participants will document fieldwork\, workshops\, research activities\, and project outcomes using various forms of media. As a result\, the achievements of the course will not only be developed within the academic environment but will also be communicated to a broader audience as a tool for promoting the region both locally and internationally. This documentation will therefore serve a promotional function\, presenting the region as a place of collaboration\, local resources\, innovation\, and community-driven initiatives embedded in an authentic social and environmental context. \n\n\n\nDesign Challenge \n\n\n\nHow can we design solutions that strengthen the development of local communities by creating interconnected and collaborative ecosystems? \n\n\n\nObjective \n\n\n\nThe aim of the course is to develop participants’ design\, research\, and communication skills in the field of sustainable development and regional promotion. Sustainability is understood not merely as reducing negative impacts\, but as creating solutions that support environmental regeneration\, empower local communities\, and rebuild the relationship between people and place. \n\n\n\nDates \n\n\n\n\nOn-site component: 21–25 September 2026\n\n\n\nOnline component: 14 and 28 September 2026\n\n\n\n\nOrganisers \n\n\n\nFaculty of HumanitiesUniversity of Warmia and Mazury in OlsztynObitza 1 Street\, Olsztyn\, Poland \n\n\n\nRecruitment \n\n\n\n>>> Complete the application form \n\n\n\nProgramme Format \n\n\n\n\nVirtual component: 14 and 28 September 2026Introduction to the programme themes\, the local context\, core methodologies and tools\, as well as learning within the blended learning and Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) framework.\n\n\n\nOn-site component: 21–25 September 2026Field research\, design workshops\, teamwork\, stakeholder consultations\, prototyping\, process documentation\, and presentation of project outcomes.\n\n\n\n\nTarget Group \n\n\n\nUndergraduate\, graduate\, and long-cycle Master’s students representing a wide range of academic disciplines. \n\n\n\nFinal Outcome \n\n\n\nThe course will result in design concepts addressing local challenges and demonstrating how regenerative design can support place-based development\, strengthen communities\, and encourage a more responsible use of resources. \n\n\n\nThroughout the programme\, participants will also produce documentation and communication materials alongside their design work. These materials will capture not only the final outcomes\, but also the development process\, participant experiences\, and collaborative activities\, while contributing to the promotion of both the region and the principles of regenerative approaches to designing solutions for local communities. \n\n\n\nThese activities are made possible thanks to financial support from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
