DESCRIPTION:9th International Scientific Conference on Business and Economics (ISCBE 2026)\, organized by the Faculty of Business and Economics\, South East European University\, and held as a hybrid event on 11–12 June 2026 at the European University of Valencia\, Spain. \nThis conference provides a forward-looking and interdisciplinary platform for scholars\, policymakers\, and practitioners to explore how economies can become resilient\, competitive\, and future-ready in an era of rapid technological change and global uncertainty. The central theme focuses on the critical role of innovation\, entrepreneurship\, and digital transformation in shaping sustainable and competitive economic systems. \nKey discussions will address topics such as digital competitiveness and economic growth\, innovation driven entrepreneurship\, the role of artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making\, startup and ecosystem development\, digital skills and human capital\, and policy frameworks supporting future oriented economies. Special attention will be given to how firms\, institutions\, and regions can adapt to\ndisruptive technologies while fostering inclusive and sustainable development. \nWe strongly encourage the active participation of master’s and PhD students. SUMMARY:Call for Papers: URAI Symposium 2026. AI and the Human in the Loop
DESCRIPTION:The Upper Rhine Artificial Intelligence Symposium (URAI) is a recurring international conference focusing on applied\, human‑centred\, and responsible AI. It brings together researchers from computer science\, engineering\, and application domains to exchange results and experiences at the intersection of AI technology and human decision‑making. \nURAI 2026. AI and the Human in the Loop: Creation\, Application\, and Co-Evolution will take place on 4 November 2026 at the FHNW Campus Brugg‑Windisch (Switzerland) and is hosted by the FHNW School of Computer Science. \nThe symposium is co‑organized with ChallengeEU’s Associate Partner TriRhenaTech. TriRhenaTech is the cross‑border alliance of Universities of Applied Sciences and Grandes Écoles in the Upper Rhine region (France\, Germany\, Switzerland). \nResearchers from ChallengeEU partner universities\, including early‑career researchers\, are invited to submit contributions. \nTopics\n\nAI system development\nHuman-AI Interaction\nAI in Application Domains\nResponsible and Trustworthy AI\n\nContributions linking AI research with societal transformation in the areas of work\, sus-tainability\, and health are particularly encouraged. \nSubmission Tracks \n\nOriginal Research: unpublished applied or interdisciplinary AI research\nJournal / Conference‑First: peer‑reviewed publications from the last 18 months\n\nAccepted contributions will be presented as oral or poster presentations. SUMMARY:Summer School on Applied Behavioral Methods at Universidad Europea de Valencia
DESCRIPTION:Behavioral Bridge is a one-week Summer School on Applied Behavioral Methods combined with a one-day research workshop\, organized by the Behavioral Economics Institute at the Universidad Europea de Valencia (UEV) from 13 to 18 July 2026. The program is also designed as a training initiative of the ChallengeEU Alliance\, remaining open to participants from other universities and to professionals from public and private organizations.  \n\n\n\nBehavioral Bridge offers PhD students\, junior faculty and professionals advanced training in behavioral methods on 4 key areas: Artificial Intelligence and Behavior: Digital Twins Replication (Dr. Tommaso Batistoni\, Oxford)\, Market Research and Consumption: The WIne Sector (Professor Nikolaos Georgantzis\, BSB)\, Climate Change Mitigation: Fostering Behavior (Professor Esther Blanco)\, Behavior and Healthier Lifestyles: Food Labels (Professor Paolo Crosetto). Each area will be formally covered by one scholar in the morning (in 2 sessions of 120 minutes each)\, leaving the afternoon for interactions with researchers and other participants. On Wednesday 15th\, with attendance of all Summer School students\, the BEI will be hosting the 5th Workshop in Behavioral Economics @ the Europea (WoBE@E)\, on the topic Applied Behavioral Research Methods. \n\n\n\nThe tuition fee for the Summer School (July 13th-14th-16th-17th) is €500\, €400 for academics coming from a ChallengeEU institution (including PhD students). DESCRIPTION:This keynote Speech will be given by Prof. Dr Julia Priess-Buchheit who is a member of ChallengeEU External Advisory Board. \n\n\n\nProf Priess-Buchheit is an expert in teaching and learning of open science\, ethics and integrity\, as well as in social technologies.The keynote will focus on Open Science in teaching\, including concrete examples of cross-border collaboration and course adaptation\, with a perspective on developing an Open Education framework and action plan for ChallengeEU. \n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held online.
