Check your options

Explore mobility opportunities in the ChallengeEU Course Catalogue and consult your local international office.

2

Talk to your coordinator

Discuss academic fit, learning outcomes, and practical questions with your academic or mobility coordinator.

3

Apply and get selected

Submit your application according to your home university’s procedures and wait for the selection result and nomination.

4

Prepare for your stay

Arrange language courses, accommodation, and administrative documents with support from international offices.

5

Go abroad & stay connected

Take part in your mobility, engage with the ChallengeEU community, and join alumni and follow-up activities.

Support and inclusive mobility

International offices and mobility teams at each ChallengeEU university provide guidance before, during, and after your stay. Support can include information sessions, mentoring, practical advice, and contacts at the host institution.

Blended and virtual formats allow more participants to join mobility activities, while the Open, Diverse and Inclusive Campus (ODEI) approach helps ensure that opportunities are accessible and welcoming to different needs and backgrounds.

If you have specific requirements related to accessibility, health, family situation, or other aspects, you can discuss them confidentially with your local mobility and inclusion contacts.

Practical information & FAQ

Key questions about who can participate, how to apply, recognition, and support for your mobility.

Who can apply for mobility within ChallengeEU?

Mobility opportunities are open to students, academic staff, and administrative staff at ChallengeEU partner universities. Specific eligibility criteria depend on the programme and on your home institution’s regulations, so please check with your local international office.

How do I start my application?

Start by exploring the ChallengeEU Course Catalogue and your university’s mobility pages. Then contact your international office or programme coordinator, who will guide you through deadlines, required documents, and the application steps used at your institution.

What about recognition of my studies or training?

Before your mobility, you will agree on a learning or training plan with your home and host institutions. This forms the basis for academic or professional recognition when you return, following the rules of your home university and the relevant programme framework.

Is funding available and where can I get details?

Many mobilities are supported through European and national funding schemes managed by your home institution. For precise information on available grants, eligibility, and conditions, please contact your international office or check your university’s mobility webpages.
