Meeting „Together for equality” at the University of Warmia and Mazury

The Comission for Equal Opportunities of the University of Warmia and Mazury invites you to a meeting „Together for equality!" The meeting will be carried out as part of the project „Cultivating Holistic Sustainable Collaborations and Engaging Excellence in European Universities - ChallengeEU" in cooperation with the Commission for Equal Opportunities. The panel will include: prof. Paweł Wielgosz – project manager, Ph.D. Katarzyna Ćwirynkało, prof. UWM – equal rights specialist, Dr. Marta Cichy – vice-chairman of the Equal Opportunities Committee, Dr. Katarzyna Kodeniec – linguist, Dr. Monika Ryndzionek – equality training specialist, Mateusz Dampc, M.A. – spokesman for Equal Opportunities at UWM, and Izabela Stadniczenko, M.A. – internal communication coordinator at Michelin Polska. The meeting will take place on Friday, December 5 at from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Faculty of Social Sciences (Dybowskiego 13 street, Kortowo district) in room C0.01.

We are pleased to invite all our partners in the Challenge EU Alliance to participate in the upcoming edition of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Resilience Lab: Media for Social Change" This BIP brings together students and academic staff from different fields to explore how media shape public opinion and can support positive social change. Focusing on resilience to disinformation, the program combines online sessions with an intensive on-site module, enabling participants to critically analyze information and create responsible, impactful media content. Program Dates: Virtual sessions: May 4th, 2026 On-site component in Olsztyn: May 11-15, 2026 We are looking for Bachelor, Master & PhD students in the humanities and social sciences. You are also warmly invited to contribute as a lecturer, mentor, or session leader, if interested – we'd be thrilled to co-design this experience with you. We kindly ask each partner to confirm their willingness to participate by January 23th, 2026 and to select and confirm their students by February 23th, 2026, so we can proceed with the necessary coordination for logistics and team formation. 55th International Student Research Groups Seminar "At the Boundaries of Disciplines" The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn is proud to host the jubilee 55th edition of the International Student Research Groups Seminar on 26–27 May 2026. For many years, the International Student Research Groups Seminar has served as a prestigious forum for presenting the achievements of young researchers, as well as a space for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and research inspiration. This year's theme, "At the Boundaries of Disciplines," highlights the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue, cooperation between diverse fields of science, and the search for new research perspectives that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. About the Event The Seminar creates an open and inspiring environment for the presentation of research results, theoretical concepts, applied projects, and innovative scientific solutions, representing a broad spectrum of disciplines and research areas. Students and doctoral candidates from academic institutions worldwide are welcome to participate, either as active presenters or passive participants, regardless of their disciplinary background. Contributions of an inter- and multidisciplinary character are particularly encouraged.
