European Student Assembly 2026: Invitation for ChallengeEU Students

Would you like to co-create recommendations for Europe’s future, work in an international team, and speak at the European Parliament? Join the European Student Assembly (Strasbourg, 20–22 April 2026) — a flagship EUC Voices initiative that brings together around 250 students from European University Alliances each year to debate and produce concrete proposals for change. Why join? Work on real policy recommendations across eight topics crucial to the EU International collaboration and online training (January–April 2026) Plenary assembly in the European Parliament, Strasbourg (20–22 April 2026) Certificate of participation upon completion Who can apply? Students (from the 2nd year of Bachelor’s to PhD), up to 30 years old, from universities within the 65 European University Alliances — including ChallengeEU. You can apply as a participant or a panel coordinator (prior leadership experience is an asset for coordinators). On average, about five students per alliance are selected (numbers may vary). Timeline & application: Call for applications: 1 October – 2 November 2025, 23:59 CET How to apply: complete the application form on the ESA website (“Click here to apply”) and indicate your preferred panel. ESA 2026 panel themes: Strengthening democracy, engaging citizens Scaling the circular economy Aligning budget with impact Europe moving together Unlocking digital potential Educating without borders Enabling generational solidarity Europe’s strategic autonomy Costs & logistics Participation in ESA is free; organisers provide meals and three nights of accommodation in a hostel. The reimbursement of travel costs is at the discretion of the European Universities Alliances. What to expect? From January to April 2026, participants meet online (workshops, expert consultations, team work on recommendations). In Strasbourg, teams finalise their proposals and vote on all recommendations during the plenary session. After the event, dissemination activities with stakeholders follow. Ready to add your voice? We are pleased to invite all our partners in the Challenge EU Alliance to participate in the upcoming edition of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Resilience Lab: Media for Social Change" This BIP brings together students and academic staff from different fields to explore how media shape public opinion and can support positive social change. Focusing on resilience to disinformation, the program combines online sessions with an intensive on-site module, enabling participants to critically analyze information and create responsible, impactful media content. Program Dates: Virtual sessions: May 4th, 2026 On-site component in Olsztyn: May 11-15, 2026 We are looking for Bachelor, Master & PhD students in the humanities and social sciences. You are also warmly invited to contribute as a lecturer, mentor, or session leader, if interested – we'd be thrilled to co-design this experience with you. We kindly ask each partner to confirm their willingness to participate by January 23th, 2026 and to select and confirm their students by February 23th, 2026, so we can proceed with the necessary coordination for logistics and team formation. 55th International Student Research Groups Seminar "At the Boundaries of Disciplines" The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn is proud to host the jubilee 55th edition of the International Student Research Groups Seminar on 26–27 May 2026. For many years, the International Student Research Groups Seminar has served as a prestigious forum for presenting the achievements of young researchers, as well as a space for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and research inspiration. This year's theme, "At the Boundaries of Disciplines," highlights the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue, cooperation between diverse fields of science, and the search for new research perspectives that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. About the Event The Seminar creates an open and inspiring environment for the presentation of research results, theoretical concepts, applied projects, and innovative scientific solutions, representing a broad spectrum of disciplines and research areas. Students and doctoral candidates from academic institutions worldwide are welcome to participate, either as active presenters or passive participants, regardless of their disciplinary background. Contributions of an inter- and multidisciplinary character are particularly encouraged. Summer School “Traces in the Landscape”

The Summer School “Traces in the Landscape” is devoted to the study of landscape perceived as a multilayered palimpsest shaped by natural, cultural, and social processes occurring over time. During the workshops, academic staff and participants will jointly reflect on how to identify traditional architectural and landscape forms in relation to local identity, historical knowledge, and the relationship between people and place. Students will also focus on the natural and sensory dimensions of landscape, such as colour, texture, rhythm, and plant structures, as well as on biophilia as a concept of reconnecting humans with nature. Aim To develop participants’ skills in identifying, interpreting, and protecting cultural, natural, and aesthetic elements embedded in the landscape. Summer School on Applied Behavioral Methods at Universidad Europea de Valencia

Behavioral Bridge is a one-week Summer School on Applied Behavioral Methods combined with a one-day research workshop, organized by the Behavioral Economics Institute at the Universidad Europea de Valencia (UEV) from 13 to 18 July 2026. The program is also designed as a training initiative of the ChallengeEU Alliance, remaining open to participants from other universities and to professionals from public and private organizations. Behavioral Bridge offers PhD students, junior faculty and professionals advanced training in behavioral methods on 4 key areas: Artificial Intelligence and Behavior: Digital Twins Replication (Dr. Tommaso Batistoni, Oxford), Market Research and Consumption: The WIne Sector (Professor Nikolaos Georgantzis, BSB), Climate Change Mitigation: Fostering Behavior (Professor Esther Blanco), Behavior and Healthier Lifestyles: Food Labels (Professor Paolo Crosetto). Each area will be formally covered by one scholar in the morning (in 2 sessions of 120 minutes each), leaving the afternoon for interactions with researchers and other participants. On Wednesday 15th, with attendance of all Summer School students, the BEI will be hosting the 5th Workshop in Behavioral Economics @ the Europea (WoBE@E), on the topic Applied Behavioral Research Methods. The tuition fee for the Summer School (July 13th-14th-16th-17th) is €500, €400 for academics coming from a ChallengeEU institution (including PhD students).
