    Online lecture on inclusive mentoring – bridging academia and business

    The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Warmia and Mazury invites you to an open online lecture dedicated to inclusive mentoring in the context of bridging academia and business. The workshop titled “Inclusive mentoring for interdisciplinary and international career development: bridging academia and industry” will be led by Dr Hafizur Rahman from Mid Sweden University (MIUN). It will take place on 17 April from 15:00 to 16:30. Dr. Hafizur Rahman is a Researcher and Project Manager at Mid Sweden University, Sweden, working at the interface of chemical engineering, sustainable materials, and industrial innovation. His research focuses on fiber-based materials, resource-efficient processes, and advanced material characterization in close collaboration with industry and international research infrastructures. With a multidisciplinary academic background and professional experience spanning academia, industry, and international collaboration, he is actively engaged in mentoring within the ChallengeEU program. His mentoring focuses on helping early-career researchers navigate interdisciplinary and international environments, bridge academia and industry, and develop impactful, sustainable career pathways.     Online workshop: Communication in the context of mentoring

    The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Warmia and Mazury invites you to an open online workshop dedicated to communication in the context of mentoring. The workshop titled “Communication in the context of mentoring” will be led by Dr Monika Cichmińska from the Faculty of Human Sciences. It will take place on Friday, 17 April, from 16:45 to 18:15 (CEST). Dr Monika Cichmińska is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Linguistics in the Department of Humanities at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. Her academic interests include cognitive semantics, especially the use of conceptual metaphors and multimodality in popular culture, the language of emotions, and different aspects of communication. She is also interested in applied linguistics, especially the influence of affective factors in learning, and brain-friendly teaching and learning.She enjoys working with people, and likes to combine theory (linguistics, psychology and neurosciences) with practice (teaching English In her free time, she likes to read, learn new things, go to the cinema and watch TV series.     The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme The Green Shift: Empowering Community and Nature-Based Potential is an international learning programme designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to build sustainable, resilient, and inclusive communities. The programme explores how community participation, the social economy, and nature-based solutions can address environmental and social challenges while creating long-term development potential. The programme combines theory, interdisciplinary learning, and hands-on collaboration between students from different countries, academic disciplines, and stakeholder organisations. Participants will work in international teams to analyse real-life community challenges and develop innovative, economically viable solutions with measurable social and environmental impact. Through a blended learning format, students will gain insight into urban agriculture, social entrepreneurship, impact measurement, sustainable financing models, and design thinking, while developing strong problem-solving and creative thinking competences.     “Inclusive Mentoring and Career Development for a Diverse Academia” is a BIP designed to strengthen the capacity of mentors, mentees, and university staff to create inclusive and empowering mentoring relationships across the ChallengeEU alliance. The BIP combines academic input, intercultural learning, and practical workshops focused on mentoring, diversity, and inclusive leadership. Place: University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (UWM), April 2026 Dates: 5 days on-site + online preparation and follow-up modules (TBE) General Aim To strengthen the capacity of mentors, mentees and university staff to create inclusive and empowering mentoring relationships across the ChallengeEU alliance.
