Applications for the second cycle of the ChallengeEU Mentoring Programme are open from 1 October to 15 November. Both mentors and mentees can benefit from the collaboration: mentees by building self-confidence and gaining greater clarity about their career paths, and mentors by further developing their communication skills in an international environment.
This lecture series addresses selected sustainability topics from various international perspectives. In each session, expert instructors from ChallengeEU partner universities introduce key issues, concepts and current challenges in their respective fields. The series is organised within the ChallengeEU European University Alliance, bringing together experts to provide students with access to specialised content. Building on this content, students examine sustainability challenges in various contexts and work on topic-specific assignments in international teams. In doing so, they develop, discuss and reflect on potential solutions to complex sustainability challenges, taking into account different perspectives and potentially conflicting goals. Each session is framed within a broader sustainability challenge (e.g. sustainable mobility, food systems or energy supply), and students engage in structured team processes to co-create and refine concrete solutions to real-world problems. >>> Registration form Academic Year: Winter Semester 2026/2027 Language: English ECTS Credits: 3(Regarding recognition of the awarded 3 ECTS please get in touch with the responsible person at your home institution.) This online workshop is aimed at ChallengeEU partner universities and will focus on the use of EMREX. The session will take an end-user perspective, demonstrating how EMREX can simplify credit transfer and credit recognition processes following student mobility. Together, we will explore how EMREX can be utilised at our individual universities and as a tool to improve exchange processes across our alliance. The workshop is primarily intended for university staff who advise outgoing students and/or handle Transcripts of Records (ToR), credit transfer, or credit recognition. IT staff and other relevant staff members are also welcome. No previous experience with or knowledge of EMREX is required to attend. TriRhenaTech and FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland cordially invite you to the URAI Symposium 2026. The symposium explores how AI systems are created, applied, governed, and continuously shaped through interactions with humans – as engineers, domain experts, managers, users, and citizens. Discuss current developments, innovative applications, and future prospects for AI with experts from France, Germany, and Switzerland.
How can universities create communities that enable people to share knowledge, learn from each other, and respond constructively to new challenges? In this online café, we will explore practical examples of community building across universities, including both promising approaches and challenges along the way. The session will include short inputs from ChallengeEU partner universities, offering different perspectives and experiences of building communities in higher education. Monika Schlatter and Dominik Tschopp will introduce EduAI@FHNW, a university-wide Community of Practice supporting the constructive use of generative AI in teaching. They will share how a lean, moderated network can bring together expertise, encourage exchange, and gradually contribute to organisational development. Fred Fellner will share their experience of building a diversity community at Hochschule Offenburg. An interactive part will invite participants to reflect on their own contexts, exchange ideas, and consider what makes communities work in practice.
